Learn how you can help cats in your community and improve conditions for the cats and their human neighbors. Tree House Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) experts will discuss various topics related to stray and feral cats.
Pet Loss Support Group
Have you lost a pet and feel a strong sense of grief? Has your pet recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness and you feel devastated with the oncoming loss? Have you been contemplating euthanasia for a sick pet and feel overwhelmed with the decision making process? This monthly pet loss support group is a safe place to share your feelings with others who are in similar situations. This is a place where you can feel supported and understood and gather information that can help you move forward. The group is run by a certified pet loss counselor. There is a $15 fee per session. Kids Who Care

The Anti-Cruelty Society’s Kids Who Care Program offers families an opportunity to engage in our work while providing valuable education to kids and adults alike! Whether by making a toy for a dog, reading to a cat, or preparing snacks for one of our small mammals, your family will have the chance to make a direct impact on the life of a shelter pet. The program is open to families with children ages 2-10. Check in the link above for availability as these events fill up quickly.
The Pack : Young at Heart Youth Club
The Pack is open to children ages 8-17 and meets once per month, usually on a Sunday afternoon. The Pack Meetings will be held in various locations in the NW suburbs and include humane and animal education, fundraising, crafts, and an end of year party. Membership fee is $75 per child and includes a tshirt, drawstring bag, snacks, and craft expenses. Membership is good for 12 months and kids can enroll anytime, pending space. Space is limited.

Anderson Animal Shelter – 1000 S. La Fox, South Elgin, IL 60177
Critter Camp is a week-long summer camp program for animal-loving kids at Anderson Animal Shelter. Campers will spend the week engaged in arts & crafts, games and activities all centered around responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. Cost is $175, includes t-shirt, materials, guest speakers and an ice cream party!
Vroom! Vroom! 10th Annual HOGs for Dogs & Kitties Too!

Join us on Sunday, September 11th for the 10th Annual HOGs for Dogs & Kitties Too event for the animals! The ride starts at Heartland Animal Shelter at 2975 Milwaukee Ave. Northbrook, IL. From 10:30 to 11:30 am we invite you to mingle and meet some of the wonderful dogs and cats that you will be helping! The first bike out will be at 11:45 am! Once again this year, the ride ends at Sideouts Bar and Eatery in Island Lake, IL with free food for registered rides and passengers, great reaffle prizes and music by the fabulous red heads that rock, The Gingers! Howl-O-Ween Fundraiser Dinner Party

Chicago Pet Rescue invites you to join us for our HOWL-O-WEEN Fundraiser Dinner Party! $20 per person includes welcome bags, dinner, dessert, soda, games and treats! We will have great raffle prizes as well! Costumes are welcome, but not required. It will be fun for the whole family! Unfortunately, no pets are allowed, since food will be served.
